I have certainly heard RE4 and SS2, and to a lesser extent FEAR, are good for the "turn off the lights and be prepared to jump in your seat" experience. The others, don't know much about them.

Oh, and sorry that IMDB stupidly PREVENTS YOU FROM READING THEIR FORUMS without an account (I guess they figure that reduces lurking, and encourages contributing to the community). As somebody said, BugMeNot.com has some info to assist ya. I saw that episode of X-play, I know of or have played most of that list, it is a good list.
