Heightened Rumor: Metal Gear Solid 4 not a PS3 exclusive?

We will still have to wait for some sort of confirmation, but if this is true, HOLY CRAP! What does Sony have left for exclusives this year to drive sales? Final Fantasy?

Can't say that I am surprised.  Capcom recently said that with how well Dead Rising did on the 360 they would be looking much more at that console (as evident with Lost Planet coming in Jan).  Konami would be one of the 2 really big Japanese companies that really hasn't flirted much with the Xbox.

"Boutros' source says that MGS4 will be coming to the Xbox 360 shortly after the PS3 release. The source says Konami is concerned that there will still not be enough PS3 units out there to make the game profitable."

So its still an exclusive but one of those new fangled "time based" exclusives, but I think the real big negative for Sony is that I know of 2 people who were holding out for the PS3 based on this game alone.  With it coming to 360 it might be enough to sway.

The only other franchise I would like to see come to the 360 now is Devil May Cry.

Also floating around is previous PS2/PSP GTA games coming to Wii, while they wont get original works (at least thats the rumor) Wii people will get a chance to hold the controller sideways and bust a few caps.

"Konami has no plans to bring Metal Gear Solid 4 to the Xbox 360 at this time," a Konami representative told CVG. The spokesman reiterated that Guns of the Patriots is "exclusive to PlayStation 3."

...take that for what you want, i dunno.  I still think it will come as it seems rather silly to go exclusive on the console with 2M units and ignoring the one with 10M

It will for sure be first available on PS3, but I have to wonder how time limited that exclusive will be.
