Here is some more trailers for you... I think this is going to be an owner game... and might trade people for Mass Effect once I'm done with it (assume many of you will be getting either this one or Mass Effect).

But check out these vids: http://media.xbox360.gamespy.com/media/834/834724/vid_2166694.html

The vibe I get from the folks at 1UP is that its not what they show in the trailers.  Its got some serious control issues as well as some serious AI issues.  With the release date closing in so quickly I'm very hesitant.  Its got the look of greatness but seeing that walk through at E3 with bodies hovering, people acting like theyve been hit but are all alone, etc.  *fingers crossed*

Hopefully they can get the kinks worked out, it certainly looks good.

QuoteIn June, Ubisoft was one of the first to stake a claim on the packed holiday release season with news that Assassin's Creed would be striking the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 in November. However, though Ubisoft has showed the game off on a number of occasions since then, when exactly Altair will take the stage has remained a mystery.

That changed today, though, as Ubisoft has announced that Assassin's Creed has gone gold and will work its dirty deeds for both the Xbox 360 and PS3 on November 13. Rated M for Mature, the game will be available in both a $59.99 regular edition and $69.99 limited edition, which includes a three-inch action figure of the game's protagonist, Assassin's Creed-inspired Penny Arcade comics, and a strategy guide. The limited-edition package also contains a bonus disc featuring the winners of the Assassin's Creed short film contest and various "making of" videos.

QuoteI was asked about ?Assassin?s Creed? and I?ve got bad news: the book isn?t going to be published. No, there was nothing wrong with it: Marco Palmieri at Pocket Books was perfectly happy with it. But it seems that the video company got visits from descendants of the ORIGINAL ASSASSINS, members of the Ismaeli sect currently led by the Agha Khan in India. They?suggested that Ubisoft, the game company, show more respect for their ancestors, and Ubisoft went all pitter-patter. Next thing we knew, they wanted to remove all religious references from the book. I guess the Crusades were about shoe size or something. Then they hired an expert to vet the book. Curious that they hadn?t thought about that before, eh? And finally, they wanted to send the book to the Agha Khan?s people for their suggestions. By this time, Marco was thoroughly disenchanted. The book was turning into puree of bat @%&#, and I was no longer amused. The whole three-book project died.

Wow. Strange. Still got paid for the first one, though?

I don't know... black times in history or digressions by the church, should they show in movies or video games or should we just ignore that they happened in those industries?  So not to say you wouldn't learn about them in school but you would be "promoting" them in some type of glorified or horrific fashion on the TV screen (at least this is what I think these people are saying when things like this happen).

This might make a good topic, so discuss here: http://forums.righteouswrath.com/index.php/topic,5810.new.html#new
