I'm not sure about this one.  Concept is kewl enough; first person view while in an open environment like the GTA games, but not sure if I could play it without getting a headache.  Check it out.

Okay, so it's a nicely detailed game where you...  run around?  climb on things?  shoot at someone while falling?  I'm confused as to what the game's actually about.  This video is all about showing off the technical capabilities (they claim all video's in-game footage, but then I wonder when in the game it pans around someone standing on a crane).  Unfortunately, this video doesn't do anything to explain why I'd want to buy the game...

LOL man, sorry I didn't give you a link to a gaming site that explains the game concept.  Here you go: http://www.gamespot.com/pc/action/mirrorsedge/index.html?tag=result;title;0.  Not all trailers are to sell a game, some are technical demos of the engine, others are how it was made, others are just random game footage.  Lego games are terrible for just showing you some fights without any real meat about the game.

Oddly enough much of those actions can be done in GTA IV just from a 3rd person perspective.

Looks like kinda a mix of things found in other current titles.
Free running / climbing like Assassins Creed
Open city environment like GTA IV with similar detail

New features appear to be FP hand to hand combat and some nice weapon transitions instead of the standard drop and pop style in most games

Meaning the cut scenes are not video clips or rendered in a different engine with different detail.

In GTA IV there are times when the camera pulls away from you to highlight important actions.

So yeah, it's a game where you run around, climb on things, and shoot while falling.  To give you a reason to run around, climb on things, and shoot while falling, they've made up a story about that you're one of the secret couriers that delivers secret items that shouldn't exist because the game is set in a Utopia.  I hope the story's more compelling than that...  From this preview, it looks like they've got the technical details figured out, though.
