Not sure what they mean by CrossPlayer (Supposed to be a melding of Single Player and Multiplayer where NPCs can be Players), but check out this vid: http://ve3d.ign.com/videos/20325/PC/The-Crossing

OT I know, but "CrossPlayer" sounds like a cross-dressing cosplay to me...

The scope of this sounds huge and interesting. I would love a GTA style game where I could be someone mundane, or good / evil / etc.
