Bungie was acquired by Microsoft in 2000 (urge to say "grampa"... rising).

Really DD you need to give better descriptions in your posts on vids.

That parody of Halo being the bringer of Humanity's World Peace and then Destroying it was priceless.  I like how it ends with full circle and starts anew (just like how most of the computer industry works in cycles of circular ideas and concepts).

Good find, just need to sell it better than one liners and cryptic sentences that only make sense after you see the video.

To be honest, this is usually why I don't follow most links, I read the OP and don't know what to expect.

it's fictional future-history ... LRR
URL contains "halo-the-future-of-gaming", plus the above = "funny thing from LRR that talks about Halo vis. the future"

Sorry not clear enough ;)

Show me the Funny part imparted in your original post?  If I've never seen a LRR thing before (which I hadn't until now), how would I know they are a parody website?  Halo-The-Future-Of-Gaming plus "it's fictional future-history" could be a description explaining a new Halo game story line and the title of the topic could mean how the guys at LRR think it evilly good or the franchise has gone bad since M$ bought Bungie in their opinion.

Now couple this with the 20+ posts you do a week like this, we just can't click on every link and spend a minute or two figuring out what it is about.

This is what I am saying.  A short description that either imparts what the link meant to you or summarizes the content would be helpful to draw your audience to click the link and share their opinions.

URLs are blue (at least in my browser) and I have a blue/green deficiency so often I can't read the contents of the URLs.

Either way, more description is always better :)

Ah, that certainly helps explain things -- I thought for sure that most of you guys had watched the Bioshock parody thing they did that someone here linked to in the last few weeks/months (wherein one of them, "Paul" the guy with the huge goatee, found plans on the internet for an underwater city, etc. etc.)

LRR = Loading Ready Run, a group of Vancouverites who've done comedy sketches in a once-per-week video on their website. Above I've got some links that if you hover over them you'll see are either on their site, or are on Wikipedia, so I guess if you didn't know of LRR you wouldn't know the video that "proves" Halo's evilness was actually a COMEDY video.

I am stupid, call it Halloween Stress Syndrome or something but I had a lot of ass-umptions in this and some other posts of late, and I understand if you folks will never forgive me. I'll fall on my sword later on tonight.

;)

Now (if you so care) watch the video*, if you are at all familiar with the Halo culture, some of the jokes will likely make you laugh "out loud", and the way they finish up the fictional-future faux-documentary is pretty nice (great "production values" throughout).

*except, of course...
