Ironic -- in a STUPID way -- is that within the same time period,

Joe Public cries foul when President Obama is basically saying "no, I won't seek criminal charges against those that encouraged/facilitated torture".

http://www.nytimes.com/2009/04/18/opinion/l18torture.html?_r=1

While this Pirate Bay kangaroocourt ruling says "we succeeded in seeking criminal charges against those that encouraged/facilitated sharing of copyrighted digital media".

We live in era where hurting another fellow human being is apparently less immoral than telling people where to find collections of ones and zeros -- based on what the "higher ups" have decided and publicly announced, anyway.

Don't forget that in the US they are labelling underage teens caught having sex as sex offenders.

Well, apparently now folks are telling Obama "either YOU acknowledge THEY are violators of international law... or YOU will be guilty of violating international law"...

Are torture techniques less immoral, if similar methods are (allegedly) used on Americans during military training? Discuss...

This might perhaps be better as its own thread, since this thread was about software piracy and specifically about The Pirate Bay being found guilty...
