And yes, Divergent is due out this week. It was supposed to premiere in LA on Tuesday, maybe the nationwide release is Thursday night / Friday morning?

But then again, why the pseudo-American "seal" in the background? The Wikipedia summary of the Divergent film/novel makes no mention of HOW they got to that dystopian future... perhaps same time tomorrow the weird website will wither away (or offer all answers). #alliterationMood

It seems you're conflating some website that appears to be advertising a new movie in a non-standard way with the end of the world due to meteors and/or some looney-tunes website that is now requiring anyone who wants to see posts to pay up front...

Sorry, to be clear I started this thread just cuz on my own I noticed a large # of meteor sitings very recently.

Then I searched YT for related videos and I found someone's comment mentioning a site that I visited and it is only a simple countdown, NO mention of who put it together (nor in the view-source).

So then I google'd that site, and I found the good-idea-to-avoid-generally GLP forum, where folks had been discussing its possible meaning, and someone pointed out that it has an identical countdown zero-moment as the main website for a new film -- so I expect that will be the end of it. But then again it might not... we'll see tomorrow.
