new TV show: The Last Kingdom

Has anyone else been watching The Last Kingdom?  It's pretty darn good, based on the books The Saxon Stories.  It's considered historical fiction, with fictional characters placed in historical points in time.  If you watch The Vikings, then The Last Kingdom is set a little while later (100 years maybe?).  I caught up basically the whole season (last episode is next week) all last night, and I just couldn't stop watching...
