I wonder what frame-rate (and what vid card you need to use it) you can get with this mod?

The un-modded game is still pretty immersive. I played it on my son's XBone on a 40 inch tv and at times it felt like I was watching scenes from a movie (this was on a jungle planet -- clearly the desert maps are WAY improved with this amazing-looking mod).

Felt like Battlefield in the SW universe. So actually quite fun (not super-nerfed for terrible FPS players like me )

... so does Star Wars Battlefront let you switch whether the clones are shooting left-handed or right-handed?  Or are those staged pictures where they forgot to always shoot the same way?  Have a close look at the hand placements in the pictures for the "ToddyHancer".

Did some googling around, and I don't see anything pointing to this being obviously faked or something.  In which case, wow, that sure adds a lot of realistic visuals.  Betcha the running still looks jerky, though.

Just the STILLS of that mod are breath-taking. (And not in the "Elaine, on that episode of Seinfeld with the ugly baby" kind of way) Serious WOW-ness. Gonna watch the video now -- reminding myself it's not a clip from a live action moviefilm.

Two problems:
1. $80 for something that looks great but has limited gameplay 80
2. Requires Origin

I was watching a lot of streams when it came out hoping there was more to this one but there just isn't...

Game Modes:

• Capture the Flag
• Control Point
• Team Deathmatch
• 1 v Team

On some modes you can call in bonuses (bombing runs, become Darth Vader, etc), you can play classic battles from the movies as well (Battle for Hoth, etc). If this was $40 and you weren't tied to Origin it would be a no-brainer but as it stands its just a really good looking game without a lot of substance that's begging for a sale or F2P model.

You're right not worth buying.

But glad it came out, SW fever is at its highest EVER right now and of course YT is full of brief clips of battles between VADER and LUKE. (Luke usually loses. Like what WOULDA happened in the real world aka if David Fincher or similar dark minds wrote the screenplay )

So its been a few months now, how does the game hold up? Are matches easy to find? Is there skill stratification? Any balancing done?

Matches are still as available as ever.

While you can dominate with practice its as effective as it would be in TF2.  Time spent will produce results in skill.

They have balanced some minor tweaks, but as it should, Heroes are definitely more powerful than Grunts.
