The #1GAM challenge ran from 2012 to 2018

It was created by McFunkypants [ https://twitter.com/McFunkypants ** ] who would record a monthly keynote speech to encourage gamedevs to make one game a month.

People could earn XP and level up for making games.

It was simple and uncommercial, and has helped launch dozens of careers.
