Wow, a very nice design.  Markup doesnt validate as it doesnt have a character encoding.  The website is now a little bland though, grey, and the odd bit of red.  Though i think its very professional looking.

I'm liking the prices, and the little yellow box above it with the savings amount.  Really matches their flyer.

hehe, nice hiding and configuring to mask that its just a redo of best buy's site hehe.  Amazing what a graphics designer can do to mask a backend

The previous website was a lot more like the current best buy.  The new stuff leaves the competition in the dust.  They even modelled the new flyers.

Yeah is a nice design.  But it is Best Buy's design team.  Just wonder how long until FS is history (BB shuts it down).

Mr. Analog

Nice new design, their old site was "teh fugly".

Futureshop will be shut down as soon as having two "independant" stores competing against each other in the same market is non-profitable and / or when they have the same inventory system (which, they don't).

nice new design, does look a little bland, and definately looks the same to BB's just with less colour.

I think as long as the masses who don't pay attention to electronics stuff still think that BB and Future Shop are two seperate entities and as Mr. A says their inventory systems remain seperate they'll both be around. However I have noticed that FS is starting to outfit it's stores more like BB and this may in fact lead to FS being closed and BB taking over so that they can continue their plans to take over the world! hehe

Shutting down FS infavour of BB is RIDICULOUS, and i shall tell you why..."The consumer gets a choice."...it truely is that simple.

When i go into Futureshop to look for a product, perhaps a TV, or a DVD player, or whatever, the next store i visit is Best Buy.  I dont visit any other, then those 2 reputable stores.

They are very smart about it.  Rarely (very) do they have the same product on sale, infact they normally have competing products on sale, a 50" Sony vs. 50" Samsung.

Does it cost them anything [substantial] to have both franchises running?

Is their a difference to say Hudsen Bay, Zellers, Home Outfitters all being run by the same company?

If BB were to finally do away with the whole Futureshop idea, they would be opening the door to others like Circuit City, and as far as i know, they dont own them.
