November 02, 2005 - Those designers at Sony Online Entertainment know exactly how to push the buttons of its player base, as once again there is drama in the Star Wars Galaxies universe. Learn more about it here. Since we don't play SWG around these parts, here is what reader Mark Williamson had to say on the matter:



   It appears SOE is at it again. Combat Upgrade 2 or EQ2? There is a new post in the SWG forums saying the the SWG Starter Kit, which is on Amazon.com, is a TOTALLY new game. It's confirmed by the Sony correspondent. They are going from 35 professions to 9 AND jedi is a starting profession. This could cause the biggest riot in MMOG history, especially for all the jedi who spend years grinding it out only to have anybody become a jedi.

They're also not allowing multiple characters per server either, except for people that already unlocked their 2nd jedi slot. The last patch disabled the start and ending of the jedi village quests...which means that anyone that didn't have their slot unlocked in publish 23 can NEVER have more than one character.

Everyone wants to be a Jedi.



They still haven't been able to fix that one. This is just the latest attempt to try and bring in the common folk. I don't think there LIVE user count is as good as they make it out to be
