Toronto getting city wide wifi

Some of you may have already seen this article linked off of slashdot.  Toronto's power company is going to be blanketing the city with a wifi connection, in direct competition with the telcos.  I wonder if this'll head our way?  I imagine a wireless network like that could get clogged pretty easily, though.
