Ironically, visiting this (presumably) pro-IE website will trigger a half dozen script errors (IE5.5 does anyway) :o :D

Ugh, it just gets worse from there... :P

1. Say that members of the "pro-Firefox" crowd claim "X"

2. "Prove" this by quoting/referring to a single source, preferably from a non-reputable personal website or blog or similar

3. "Debunk" this apparent "myth" in typical easy strawman-down-knocking fashion.

4. Ignore implications of pro-IE or even pro-Opera statements (e.g. low system requirements, but who in their right mind will run WinXP on a 486-66?!)

5. Lather rinse repeat

FF isn't perfect, but it's better than IE ... and I haven't tried Opera in 2 years so maybe based on what is said it really has improved that much, so I am open minded enough to check it out again, but I don't need to be lied/exaggerated/misled to in order to do so. :P

I read the whole site over the last little while; it's less anti-FF than I expected, with a surprising # of myths that I had also heard, so I guess the bottom line is whatever gets your task done the quickest/smoothest/happiest -- I use IE and FF equally (IE launches so fast, FF has great tabbing and rendering and extensions) and now I am considering trying the latest Opera. :o

Also on the same site, some really nice "guides":

"This Free guide will show you the best Freeware Applications that will let you create, edit, playback, display and send Documents, Reports, Spreadsheets, Multimedia Presentations, Graphics, Photos, Pictures, Audio, Music, MP3s, Video, Movies, DVDs, CDs, Instant Messages, RSS Feeds, FTP transfers and more."

"There are thousands of games available for Windows XP. All the well known titles cost money to own. This guide covers the better Freeware games from Independent Developers and Commercial Publishers. The following games are 100% free full games, not Demos or Shareware. None have any Adware or Spyware. Every game listed has been installed and tested for basic compatibility with Windows XP. Most of the Games will work on Windows 2000 and older versions of Windows just check the requirements. Hopefully this will provide you with some good entertainment without ever having to spend a dime."

"Clean Spyware and Viruses + Optimize Windows XP to improve home, work and gaming performance safely. Windows XP's default configuration is far from optimized. This Free guide will help you improve your overall system performance without having to manually edit the Registry."
