Amazon to make movies, release them online weeks after theatrical release

Given Netflix's similar success in TV series, I'm sure Amazon can do the same

Don't get me wrong, I enjoy the theatre experience, but most movies I would otherwise miss because "meh" I would probably watch on my big screen at home

The selection is limited and the originals look a bit flat... but it's available

Well, it's funny their content is spread across many different providers (from the wikipeds)

At present, Canadian consumers have access to several other streaming systems, including a Canadian version of Netflix, Shomi, CraveTV and Crackle, but with both Shomi and CraveTV streaming some programming from inaccessible-to-Canadian-viewers platforms such as Hulu and Amazon.

I have been home sick with the Flu for the the week and missed this.

Did a quick check and the Amazon Video app is not available in Canada on my TV yet so I will probably hold off signing up.

I have been catching up on Netflix series anyway since I have been stuck to the couch / bed for a few days now.
