QuoteThe Heated Vest is made of polyester fleece and is reversible: black on one side, gray on the other. It is thin enough to fit under a jacket. The heating element is made of an embedded carbon-fiber mesh and infrared heater to evenly warm the fabric without the need for separate heating elements or heavy wiring.

The rechargeable batteries in the vest give about 4 hours of continuous heating. Via the included controller, the heating can be turned on and off easily and conveniently. The electronic part, the battery case and controller, can be removed when the vest needs cleaning in a washing machine.

I have used battery heated gloves before, and found them to suck. However this vest claims 4 hours on a single charge... That would get you through most of a day of skiing! It also doesn't appear to be super expensive.

Mr. Analog

Heated vests have been on the market for a long time in motorcycle circles, however this one seems lighter, like you could wear it under another jacket and not get too bulky.
