QuoteVia is readying a media-oriented motherboard in what could be the next popular size for small form-factor PCs: Pico-ITX. The "Epia PX" board measures 3.9 x 2.8 inches and features a 1GHz C7 processor, along with rich audio/video I/O, albeit mostly on pin headers.

...i guess its small ;)  All in one solution, would be pretty good I would imagine in something like a vehicle entertainment computer?

There is a cube I keep seeing that was smaller but less modifiable. However it was a complete enclosure. I have also seen some auto PC enclosures that uses a board about this size and the outer case it a giant heat sink.

I believe this has more horse power then that little cube. I know the cube was something in the order of 333Mhz or something very slow but good enough for a dumb term.

True, I forgot about that..

I keep thinking about doing an auto PC project...

My goals would include:

- Ignition based startup and shut down... Requires a UPS or auto PC board with capacitor
- GPS for navigation
- WiFi Update music collection remotely while parked in the garrage
- TV/FM tuner..
- DVD
- Bluetooth to interact with Phone/PDA

Boards made by via WILL fail within 1-2 years. Try and get a mini/micro/pico itx solution from one of the other makers, something that gives you a P-M, Core-M, or Athlon-M based setup, you'll get more power, and your board wont fail.

Well, their northbridge/southbridge are rock solid.  Have had a server running on one for like 4 years, never an issue.

I said boards made by via. As in the physical motherboards. Like all of the VIA brand mini+micro+pico itx boards. They skimp on the capacitors BIG TIME. They know its an issue, and don't care.
