It's all lost and confused and scared that everything cool it can do is a plug in for Firefox (though with less memory leakage, I would hope) ;)

Still, competition is a good thing!

Apple is pushing AJAX in Safari as the dev platform for 3rd parties on the iPhone. I think this has something to do with it.

Gave it a go and got quickly annoyed by the mouse controls and shortcuts.

Smokin' fast. That's all I can say (the Apple version, anyway) -- Mozilla's flexibility is great but with all those extensions you need added on, it's a bit "heavier" on the "scale" for a lot of people.

I like how the news articles talk about how difficult it will be for Safari to get its foot in the Windoze Uzerz door -- mentioning the 80% market share that IE has and the 15-ish% that Firefox has. But absolutely NO mention of how IE had like 95% for so many years (due to the default installation on the OS, natch) and how the huge loss in a handful of years is a result of users getting sick of security holes, patches, crashes, and of course the notorious Microsoft Making Default Choices For You Even When Before The Upgrade You Chose The Opposite ::)

GL Apple and Mozilla -- may the consuming public be the beneficiary of your feature-clashes ;)

I'd be careful with it, some major holes in it already.
