Ever had a friend or family member who needed help on the phone an you wished you could just remote desktop in... The only problem being that the person on the other end was behind a router and it would take for ever to talk them through port forwarding?

You might want to try this program:
http://www.crossloop.com/download.html

It uses Tight VNC to the the work but provides a DEAD simple way to get connected to someone.. No IPs no port forwarding (well unless there is outgoing blocking as well)!

overly simple to connect remotely? Sounds very risky. Thanks!

I think that's from the makers of HelpOnMyPC.com...

It is hard to say THINK when it states it as a fact on the site..

Anyway I used it just a few days ago to help raeofsunshine out, she is behind a router and she had the XP firewall on.. I also had the XP firewall on, yet it made the connection very easy.

I am curious about testing it from the company network, its seems to setup a tunnel very quickly. The XP firewall did prompt about allowing the connection however it seemed that only one of the parties needed to have allowed it.
