Wow I think I NEED to check those out.

I think Reality 2.0 was better than Abe Lincoln Must Die but that whole Sam and Max set is worth playing... I am sure I am going to download season 2 when it is complete.

What I'm surprised at is the sheer variety and quality of this year's freeware picks.

Very nice list. Another good one from 2008 is I Want to be the Guy!. If you can beat IWBTG! then you can probably laugh in the face of Mega Man 2.

The Trilby games get my stamp of approval. The Art of Theft has refreshingly basic stealth-oriented game play. The adventure games in the series also get a thumbs up for being well written and decently packed romps in mystery/horror. Only takes an hour or two to finish each, so it's not a huge investment.

Not as polished as Sam & Max which has blow-you-away level quality and humour, but still worth a go.
