So I've set this up as per this announcement, and now I was wondering if anyone sees a use for it?

Features of this RW-Wiki:

  • LDAP Aware
  • WYSIWYG Interface
  • Source Code = HTML (most wiki software has its own language for Bolds, Italics, etc - this uses HTML behind the scenes)
  • ACL per page/section - allows to data segregate, even down to the view level
  • Skinable
  • Open source (most are I know)
  • Full VM support
  • .NET aware and most of the elements/plugins are written in .NET - uses MONO or .NET Framework depending on installation

With the ACL feature specifically, I can create as many sections as you need and data segregate them only to those you want access to VIEW, UPDATE, etc.

So will you use it to contribute, view, etc?

If you guys want new sections from the root that are ACL Locked let me know.  Also if you want contrib status, I need a UName and Pass to setup and what sections you want contrib to.

And just like the forums, I can even hide sections from the public that you need a login to access, or even hide them to specific logins, so only those authorized can see them.

Good to hear.  If anything, I will just use it myself, as I find a great use for it with all the side work I do, or for those darn fixes it took me hours to research, and yet never bookmark!  And of course they re-surface somewhere else and I have to do it all over again!

Just a question, is there any particular subject matter that we're sticking to for the wiki?

No not really.  If you need a section for whatever, just let me know and you can have it.  I've only setup the two I could think of... and am Populating the Tips & Tricks stuff with information I would use.

You guys could contribute to anything I have already created or have totally new section(s) to work with.  Doesn't matter!
