:sigh: the only real "continuity" in the DW universe, briding the gap between the youngsters and us old farts.

I never really was a big fan back in the 80s, but recently I watched with my daughters a handful of episodes in the "reboot" seasons, now I get what people are excited about. "Not your father's Doctor Who" for sure

Sad, and she died quite young.

That's for sure, at 63.

For me it's a big deal because Dr. Who (the Tom Baker run anyway) was a big part of my childhood thanks to PBS and my mom.

I don't know what I'll do when Tom passes away, I actually teared up for a moment this morning :-(

She'll be missed.  The kids and I finished watching the Sarah Jane Adventures a couple of months ago; they were quite enjoyable.  We might go back and watch a bunch of Tom Baker Doctor Who now.  Well, after we get through Sliders.

God, my poor kids have to watch old shows.
