I suspect these will be min specs for as long as the current gen of consoles is kicking around for a lot of AAA games, it should be said that the game is going to be framelocked on consoles at 30 fps

Oh yeah, probably. Games also seem to be optimized differently on consoles. They have that 8GB merged vram/ram setup, and its faster than regular DDR. So you have faster system ram, and A LOT more vram than /many/ people have on their gpus. So straight ports end up being very vram heavy, and potentially ram abusive.

HD textures are a killer for sure, especially if you want to maintain a good framerate. I know this was a big issue with some other AAA titles where you'd start loading a new area and you'd get some serious frame drops to the point where it was noticeable... yuck!
