Alright, so i've tried about a dozen different Applications for converting video from AVI to WMV, my requirements were simple, i need to get a good quality, and i need to be able to queue up mulitples.

Reading my Digg RSS feed i came across this link

QuoteSince the Fall dashboard update many have tried multiple solutions to convert their xvid/divx files to play them on the xbox 360. VLC is proving to the the fastest, yet good looking, transcoding application out there. VLC vs WinAvi 7.7 vs Windows Media Encoder.

Well, i tried it using his batch file and well, its everything I need in a converter.  Basically download his batch file, change the pathing to your install of VLC, and drag and drop video to the batch file.  Its pretty damn fast and i was able to encode 4 videos at the same time and play a video on my 360 (one of the 4 being encoded).

So far this is the way to go.

I was reading an article about VLC. I had it along time ago. It has come a long way. Very nice program.

So I ended up giving this a go on the weekend.  Works as advertised and makes my 360 a perfect replacement for my original Xbox. In that I can now just download videos off the net and watch them with no re-encoding or anything.
