Looks like another huge title.

If there's one game that will make me get a 360, it'll be this one.  I'm a sucker for grand sci-fi setting, and the games looking great too, plus Bioware has a history of putting out great RPGs.

Shayne

on XBL right now they have some real nice gameplay overview videos done by Bioware.  They explain how the controls work and how the dynamic chat works, etc while showing all the action on screen.  Very slick.  It has a very KotOR feel to it but graphically its near GoW.

Another game you guys might want to look into is TimeShift: http://timeshiftgame.com/us/

Although this one will also be PC based, as well as 360, it is similar to Prince of Persia Sands of Time, but with a twist.  You can forward, reverse, and stop time... but while in any of these modes, you are constant and can move around, effect the environment and those in it.  Play videos look sweet.

Want that already done Melbosa?  In the rather "ordinary" Blinx on the original Xbox?

Maybe, never played Blinx.  But TimeShift certainly looks sweet from the vids.  Have to see how it plays out I guess though.

I know this is one hell of a rez, but have been doing some checking into Mass Effect.  Nice actor listing for voice overs... here is a preview of some:

Recognize anyone?

I know this is one hell of a rez, but

...forgiven, so long as you change your label to "assistant rez guru" or similar ;)

WOW, it's like they thought "Hmmm... how can we get the most geeks to buy this epic game? Let's see, fans of raw violence with a subtle touch of psychological mystery, like "They Live*"? Check. Fans of deeper, darker sci fi like Millennium and Alien? Double-check. Trekk[ers|ies]? Gotta be checked." ;)

Is there a part in the game where you tell Captain David Anderson to PUT ON THESE GLASSES!

PS: they didn't talk to him, but a certain Cyber-Fowl creator is also involved (?!)

PPS: Okay, a different video they did talk to him... make that two videos. 8)

And now I find there is girl on girl action in the game! :P

Kinda like the sims from what I can gather.  You can have any character have romantic advances towards any other character.  Here is a vid example (SFW):

Despite the fact the the alien looks physically female, in the fiction it's asexual. Kind of like whiptail lizards that are an all female species that reproduce through parthenogenesis but still mount each other in a mock sexual reproduction stance. So, as far as the fiction is concerned I don't know if this can be considered homosexual in nature. *snort*

So, this game has been out for a while now, what say ye all?

It's got some minor issues - but they're mostly just because I'm rather picky about the way certain things should work (eg. at the intro screen, why does it have to be "start" to get to the main menu, why doesn't "A" work like every other game).  I think I'm most of the way through the main story now, though I know I have a lot of game left to explore/play.  And thats still on my first character, where I just took the default pre-built char and jumped into the game, haven't even gotten into custom characters yet.

I also had the opportunity to read the Mass Effect book a couple months ago.  While there are a couple things that you might consider spoilers, I think I would recommend going this path to anyone else.  Having the basic knowledge of the universe (what the major alien species are, the general political layout between them, lots of the terminology used in the universe, etc.) really lets you get into the game, instead of spending too much of the first bit just learning basic stuff.  If anyone wants to borrow the book from me, just let me know - I thought it was quite short, but good.  I took it to san-fran with me when I went to VMworld, started it in the morning at the airport here while waiting for the plane, and was finished it before landing in SF (yes, a direct flight).

Or if ya have questions about the game, post 'em up.  I'll do my best to answer without providing spoilers (you'll get no answers before you get spoilers - people wanting spoilers can get pm's)
