Arrgh! Steam + Windows Live = FAIL

So, I wanted to grab the new release for Fallout 3 today (Operation Anchorage). This required me to install Windows Live (and a few patches & hotfixes) and enter the activation key in and log into Live through the game to download the patch through Windows Live Marketplace.

When the download finished I noticed something... the "Continue" option was greyed out!!

Turns out if you are logged into Live! but you started your character before you had Live! you have to start a new character.

On the plus side, you can play Operation Anchorage right out of Vault 101 and of course you don't have to log into Live and I could finish the game, but JEEZ it would have been nice to use my built up character and unlock some rad weapons to finish the game with...

Now I gotta choose if I'm going to create a new guy or finish the game with the old guy
