So the latest snapshot is out.

There are "performance improvements".  Yay!

The sand and gravel duplication bug has been fixed.  Boo!  Now we have to go back to strip-mining sand, which leaves a horrible blight upon the world.  If only they'd let us grind down cobble to gravel, then gravel to sand.  That would still require work, yet at the same time would allow us to save our precious desert landscape.

Mobs will now spawn on slabs.  WHAT THE F!!

Dammit, why do they hate us so much!

I have to revise so much thanks to that change to slabs

Yah, it might change back again, who knows.  I'm sure you're not the only that dislikes slabs being changed like that.  At the same time, enchanting weapons and armour is going to be really easy.  Now if only we could get a way to make sand from cobble.

salkjdalskfj I made a really cool vault with automatic lights.

I'd hate to open that mother up and have creepers explode all my redstone circuitry!

I could lend you some bows to make dispensers to kill the creepers when they appear?  Or keep the light level high enough that they can't spawn?

But yeah, that does mess up a lot of builds that relied on monsters not spawning on slabs.

I thought I was safe.

Well you could have the lights on all the time, then have them turn off when the user clicks the open-door button, then open the door and turn them back on with your fancy timed lights feature?

I'll have to come up with something... that's for sure
