Minecraft 1.3 aiming for August 1st

Yes, that's right, Mojang has announced they're planning to release Minecraft 1.3 on August 1st: http://twitter.com/jeb_/status/219828495918960641

Hopefully the recept "performance improvements" will mean it runs faster than previous versions, although the fact that single player now runs a server locally makes me think probably not.  I'll wait and see before loudly complaining to all that can hear, though.

I'm really surprised they set a date, that seems to have disaster written all over it.

On the plus side we can be playing 1.3 at Fraga :D
