I absolutely hate "roadmaps" that go on for more than 3 months

To me it depends on how granular and precise the roadmap is.  If it's specific features that will be implemented in the next two years, that's too precise.  If it's a vague "tool X interoperability", that's alright by me.  Although that's not really a roadmap anymore, that's a Future Features Wish List.
