I wonder if to Mr. Simpson TV/beer are play, or work (cuz he devotes so much time to them!)

PS: origin story of that phrase = http://boards.straightdope.com/sdmb/showthread.php?t=95352 = Charles Dickens, Letters (1853) (Stephen King wasn't the originator  ;) )

That's... actually kind of neat

Reminds me of something I read earlier today that told a tale of Sir Arthur Conan-Doyle, apparently he sent anonymous letters to 5 friends saying something to the effect of "We have been betrayed" just to see what would happen, well his friends were high up in the British government, one of them fled the country and disappeared.

It's both terrible and amusing...

That kinda reminds me of this one clip from a Tony Wonder video in the "reboot" season of Arrested Development -- Ben Stiller is all like "hey what's that behind you ... made you look" type of thing. Unless I am hallucinating a false memory, come to think of it, I watched most of that new season late into the night when already sleep-deprived... Actually tbh I'm kinda sleep-deprived right now, hence why I would think that even remotely links up with the SACD story  ;) ???
