Yes, Space will be playing Doctor Who's newest episode Day of the Doctors on Saturday!  It's on at 2:50pm EST, which is 12:50pm MST (ie Edmonton local time), and they're playing it without commercials!  It'll be repeated at 4pm EST, which is 6pm MST, although that one'll have commercials.  There's also a whole bunch of Doctor Who specials on before and after, revisiting each of the eleven doctors.

HOO-@%&#ING-RAY!!!!!

I may be out that night but I'll let you know!

Sorry for being presumptuous... but your TV rocks (and has cable ;) ) ... I don't think Space.ca will live-stream ;)

PS: on Space it's a Who-eganza!

so little time...

(ps: http://www.space.ca/article/Night-of-the-Doctor apparently will explain why/how the John Hurt character is involved in all this ruckus -- SPOILER...
Spoiler

Paul McGann is the 8th Doctor, who only appeared onscreen once in 1996 in a TV movie meant to revive Doctor Who. Here, he makes a triumphant return in a regeneration story explaining the genesis of the incarnation of the Doctor who fought in the Time War.

I'm not uninterested. but I have been quite tired and lazy lately. sooo...
<Zapata Prime> I smell Stanley... And he smells good!!!

Mr. Analog

To be honest I'm a little shaky lately too, lots of stress combined with depression and my anxiety levels have been WAY up. In general I'm coping pretty well but I know I'm a little jumpy

The big side effect is just not eating / sleeping properly, I'm up early (2-3 AM) and I power out early. I'm trying to flip it around and get more activity in, I actually managed to stay awake past 10 PM last night (thank you Pacific Rim!).

Anyway, I still have to figure out what's going on Saturday, but maybe this can be a thing :)

I also have to check if I have Space in HD

lol.

Y'know I never understood this either, Doctor Who had just celebrated 25 years and was a staple I would watch Saturday nights on PBS and during the week on YTV, it was my favourite television show. I was very excited for a new season that never came, then there was talk of an 8th Doctor but that didn't materialize for years later...

Red Dwarf filled the gap for a while but otherwise the only live action shows I was watching after Who disappeared was Sherlock Holmes, Poirot and Maniac Mansion all of which had limited runs

I feel kind of bad for the 8th Doctor because he didn't really get a fair shake, the TV movie was supposed to launch a new series but it was fairly awkward and the timing was all wrong, looking back it was very much a bridge between classic and new Who though and has its place

I recently watched a few old classic serials, the danger now is getting sucked into watching more and more, as I said in another thread I'm already losing my nights, yarg I need more time! (to the TARDIS!)

Oh yeah, side note, not one of the classic Who Doctor's was invited to contribute the 50th anniversary, which kind of makes me angry. I know New Who is super popular and all but there is a massive legacy behind it and to ignore that on such an important date... not very nice.

Don't get too angry - there's a special hour or hour-and-a-half show for each of the doctors, #1 through #11.  I don't think it'll all fit on my PVR, to be honest.  Some are airing on Saturday morning, some Saturday evening, all around the Day of the Doctor.  Space is basically the Doctor Who Channel for all of Saturday.  Oh, and they've already had a special on earlier in the week where they interviewed actors and actresses from across the years, including showing scenes and interviewing actors from An Unearthly Child (we still haven't seen them wrap up the loose plot point of the Hartnell-doctor saying that Susan was his granddaughter).
