Wow. I am surprised. This would NOT have happened under Balmer, I can say that much.

This may be the smartest business move MS has made in years. I'm sure this will lead manufacturers to take a closer look at windows again. And MS is including a 1 year free license to Office 365, which may entice consumers.

Windows might be a viable competitor in the mobile space once again :o

Y'know what the funny thing is? Windows 8 isn't bad on mobile devices.
