According to my uptime robot monitor mc2 has been down: Since 144 hrs, 13 mins (23-03-2015 12:58:25)

Looks like no:

Looks like Lenny joined, went some place, and that caused a 2 hour death spiral.

Haha. Not really concerned about that. That can be caused by just about anything. It's the fact that just after you joined the server started lagging out, ran out of memory, then died.

Hmmm, I logged in shortly after the discussion here about slime spawning rates, to see how it affected my slime spawning chamber, and left the game idling for a few hours. When I came back it had crashed.   The slime chamber is below a farm with a LOT of pigs, which might somehow have been the memory drain.  It's never been a problem before though, but perhaps the latest version has a memory leak.

Tom

So, if you feel like trying that test again,  let me know, and if it crashes, let me know ;)

I'm kind of at the point that if it crashes and no-one tells me, that just says to me that no-one cares ;)

Lenny, where's your slime-spawning chamber?  I've been trying to get slimes to spawn on and off for a month now, and haven't gotten a single slimeball yet.

144 hours is 6 days.  I'm assuming everyone was busy playing Cities: Skylines for the last two weeks.

Well that is where my gaming time is committed these days.

FYI my slim farm is below my black tower but it wasn't spawning much last time I was on.

Thorin

Is that what these big rooms are?  http://ov.mc.tomasu.org/planetbob/#/-769/64/333/max/0/2

I haven't gotten any slime _ever_ on the new server.

This produced a fair amount of slim pre 1.8. They still spawned after but very few.

Also I didn't get the water flow 100% so they don't get sucked to the kill collector all the time.

How much slime do you need? I had a few stacks kicking around but I think I left them in my enter chest.

I have a spawning room under the tower here: http://ov.mc.tomasu.org/planetbob/#/-1444/64/-1988/-2/0/0

It's not really a farm, as I haven't needed slimes enough to bother with more than hollowing out the room, but it was working fairly well last time I used it a few months ago.  I'll try replicating what I did last week before I go out today to see if it crashes the server again.  Probably in an hour or so.

append:

No crash this time, but no slimes either.
