Fantastic Four #2 in July 2017 might get cancelled...

I'm looking forward to Gambit, Guardians of the Galaxy 2, and the Avengers: Infinity War parts 1 and 2.  I'm sure I'll end up seeing all the rest, but those are the ones that have really piqued my interest.

Same here, as long as the quality stands up!

Is it really that bad? Or is it a case of "recent memory" effect? Cause there are a lot of bad commic book movies.
<Zapata Prime> I smell Stanley... And he smells good!!!

Melbosa

Its lower scored than any other comic book movie on RT supposedly.

So... I did a bit of research into this, the results are damning:
*Percentiles based on Rotten Tomatoes "TOMATOMETER" Aug 17, 2015

Spider Man 3 (2007)   63%
Hulk (2003)   61%
The Green Hornet (2011)   43%
Hancock (2008)   41%
X-Men Origins - Wolverine (2009)   38%
Tank Girl (1995)   38%
Fantastic Four: Rise of the Silver Surfer (2007)   37%
The Punisher (2004)   29%
Barb Wire (1996)   28%
The Punisher (1989 DOLF LUNDGREN)   28%
Superman III (1983)   26%
Ghost Rider (2007)   26%
Green Lantern (2011)   26%
Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles III (1993)   21%
Spawn (1997)   19%
Judge Dredd (1995)   18%
The League of Extraordinary Gentlemen (2003)   17%
The Spirit (2008)   14%
Howard the Duck (1986)   14%
R.I.P.D. (2013)   13%
Jonah Hex (2010)   12%
Superman IV (1987)   12%
Steel (1997)   12%
Batman & Robin (1997)   11%
Elektra (2005)   10%
Catwoman (2004)   9%
Captain America (1990)   9%
Fantastic Four (2015)   8%
Supergirl (1984)   7%
Son of the Mask (2005)   6%

OF ALL the @%&#ty superhero adaptations I could think of there are only TWO that are below it, one of which I threw in as the absolute baseline (the only one lower would have been Baby Geniuses, 2%)

Just... wow

WOW

Not true, excluding "Son of the Mask", 1984's "Supergirl" out-stank it by 1%

EDIT: I am still in SHOCK that there are movies worse than the 1990 Captain America

... I need to take a walk or something like WOW

Good catch... I was just going off an IGN news cast that said as much about the movie.

I dunno. Is it possible it's just recent memory and fury causing the current horrible numbers? Also people got used to better movies, so it has to reach a higher bar?

In theory, it could have a critical rebound like 2003's Hulk did where retroactively people realized it for the semi-decent movie it was, too bad it killed Ang Lee's mainstream career for a few years

...but I doubt it

I'm just saying that there are SO many BAD movies on that list. Is it /really/ that much worse than those? I haven't seen it, or a lot of those, so I can't say. But I'd find it surprising.

Keep your eye on it for a few more weeks, maybe it will surpass the UTTER MESS that was Captain America (1990)

A hole this deep though, not sure it can crawl out of it

http://www.rottentomatoes.com/m/fantastic_four_2015/ it's still 8%. It ain't getting any higher.

Heck, the NON-CRITICS rating barely cracked 20%. If your fanboys base demo ain't liking it 4 times out of 5 then for your career is all gone Pete Tong i tell ya...

Yeah, and lets face it some of the more hardcore fans (of anything) will push hard to up the percentile of something if they feel its worthy

It's sad when you have SO MANY other productions goin' on that are successfully executed to learn from and then still drop a clinker like this, reminds a person of how the movie business is just that, and there's money to be made from failure *yuck*

Just remember that it seems the only company that can push out a good superhero movie is marvel. Sony and Fox don't seem to know how to make a good superhero movie. Sony fluked out once but that's about it.
