I couldn't find another thread about this on my phone... 12 days until new Doctor Who! It comes out September 19th, on International Talk Like A Pirate Day. I'm excited!

Watched the new episode yesterday. Man, I like Peter Capaldi's doctor! Lots of connections to old serials (meaning old Doctor Who, not NuWho) in this one. And that's all I'll say for now, in case anyone hadn't watched it yet.

Thanks! That's very Canadian of you!

A separate thread for spoilers imo... I am probably going to wait a few weeks and just binge-catch-up.

...or people can use the spoiler tag ?

The spoiler tag doesn't work right in Tapatalk, and at least some of us use Tapatalk to browse these forums from our phones.

Don't binge, watch it at your earliest opportunity!  And then watch it again, trying to spot all the OldWho stuff you can.

I tried to fix that, maybe I will try again.. The main problem is that the Spoiler tag is a plugin, not a native feature.. Thus doesn't work well with Tap-A-Talk.

Alright, part 1 last week was great. Part 2 this week was phenomenal. I will not say more. Just go and watch both episodes!

Certainly entertaining and hinting at things that have come up before. Also some more uniqueness added to this doctor.

Okay, the first two episodes of this season made me want to go watch old Doctor Who episodes to check up on the old Dalek lore.

...too bad you don't have a TARDIS then you could just go Back To The Past and watch 'em all live.

Speaking of which, the excellent "Film Theory" youtube channel (itself a spinoff from the Game Theory channel) deals with the question of Doctor Who... and time travel*.

Using science.

Yup.

* spoiler: going backwards is a bigger challenge.

So a typical Dr. Who episode?

Well another new unique element to this Dr. was introduced. I guess he won't be pointing at things as much?
