^ not a TRAILER yet, but most of the cast (including the new characters) gather together for promotional purposes. But this is confirmation that The Damage Is Done Already for those who think a sequel is sacrilege

and YEESH you don't often get this kind of positive response to a big-budget sequel to a big-budget popcorn blockbuster!

While a little big unfulfilling once the credits role, and the constant feeling that once again the studio has ordered the filmmakers to set things up for future instalments, Independence Day: Resurgence is actually a pretty solid follow-up that should embrace a new generation?s interest while at the same time fulfilling the needs of us older fans keen to be taken back a couple of decades.

A decent sequel that delivers just enough to satisfy. We look forward to where things are taken next.

Brushing aside my usual cynicism, for this I am actually wanting to see this in theatres, some evening hopefully soon with my friends... let me know re. availability buds. (Sometimes after Friday of this week.)
