Oh the humanity (or, arguably, the lack of it)

Some really good ones in there.

Most have dozens of comments discussing the ethics of the scenario/choices.

...funny thing is, I found this by looking into a subtle reference in an episode of ARCHER ffs. Gotta love how deep that silly show sometimes gets...

Ahh I'm glad I found this again

Recently been on an Archer binge (what with my lack of sleeping at night for the last few weeks.) The dialogue pops so fast its easy to miss stuff and then it hits you re-watching it again.

Also I don't know about you but after watching the first couple seasons over the urge to watch Burt Reynolds movies and drink scotch increases

I can't wait until this new "Noir" season begins, although it will be tough not seeking out ... alternative sources. But when it hits Netflix my son and I will do the full binge.

Just like we plan on doing really soon for Better Call Saul season 2.

PS: Netflix Original "Pacific Heat", when I saw it added a few months ago it was so obviously influenced by Archer. But being twitchy for new Archerness this week I actually gave it a shot. Literally -- no, wait, I mean figuratively. And hooray, time not wasted, 2 episodes in I gotta say it is not nearly as bad as I expected, and in fact PH has its own kind of charm, it is not at all just a weak copy. I plan on going through all 10 eps soon.

It's more like [Australian-voiced version of Archer storylines and art style, kinda] minus [all those Intelligent References that triggered this thread] plus [in its place tons of the in-your-face silly spoofery of ZAZ (Naked Gun, Top Secret!, etc. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Zucker,_Abrahams_and_Zucker ) ] Right off the bat I noticed stereotypes a plenty played for laughs, like the angry "chief" who has to cover for his team's breaking all the rules, etc... but also others subverted 180 degrees like the "dumb blonde" character actually bieng the brunette, while the blonde agent is the calm genius, etc.

PH made me laugh actually out loud more than once, unlike "Danger 5" (sorry, I also gave 2 episodes of that a try but imo just wasn't novel enough for me to continue imo - https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Danger_5 )

Honestly Archer has had me in stitches, to the point where I had to laugh into my pillow (watching at like 4 AM and losing it)

Today I saw the Sealab 2021 tribute episode - it was such a kick, makes me want to re-watch that and see the seeds of what would become Archer

Stuff like this works thanks to SO MANY LAYERS, it's like a ... animated lasagna. Also the season-long arcs were so good, just when you think they're falling into a rut they change it up and keep things fresh. ALSO there's a disturbing level of detail which is oddly satisfying, one off jokes become permanent fixtures in the Archer world, even if they aren't referenced directly ever again. I love that stuff.
