Five more Star Treks? Next Generation Sequel??

I think that originally they wanted to have each season of Discovery be an anthology type deal and maybe had some of these ideas on the drawing board for future seasons but it sounds like they are going to try doing a bunch of spinoff shows instead - including a TNG sequel.

I'm still pretty "meh" about Discovery so I don't know what new Treks would bring to the table, I guess we'll see.

Save your shudders, could be worse, at least there's no announcement of "_: A Star Trek Story" series of filums. Followed by polarizing/attacking the fanbase via poorly worded social media posts by the producers...

Apparently SOLO isn't all that bad but it's not Star Wars-y enough for the avg person (also they set it up to fail by putting it against Avengers / Deadpool 2 I mean c'mon! C'MOOOOOOOOON!)
