Last time we got together, Melbosa talked about some TV shows that were good:
- Trollhunters
- 3 Below
- Final Space

I gotta say, Trollhunters and 3 Below are good to watch with the youngest (12yo), the story and character development is good enough to keep my adult interest. I've really liked them. Final Space has a bit of an Adventure Time vibe, it's good, too.

So, since you're batting a thousand, any other shows you've been watching that you think are good?

We are hooked on ?the Orville? the first season is super inconsistent however.

It seems to be aiming for a TNG future but with Doctor Who level ?real people? instead of perfect humans. Some really good episodes in season 2.

Thorin

Yeah, I'm all caught up on The Orville. If we're talking sci-fi, The Expanse is great. Others that have gone over well in my house are:
- 9-1-1
- Superstore
- Brooklyn Nine Nine
- Big Mouth
- Cutthroat Kitchen (no longer running)
- The Office (no longer running)
- SEAL Team
- The Ranch

No one likes all of them but everyone likes one or more.

Any others we should try?

Final Space is good I just need more of it

Yeah, It's surprising how quickly the 20 minute episodes go by in Final Space.  I think it's because of the background music.

Trollhunters and it's follow-on (not sequel) 3 Below, I was surprised because at first it just kinda seemed like an older kids' cartoon, but then I really got into the story and the character development and the world built around Arcadia, and I completely agree with Melbosa that it's a good show even for adults.

Mr. Analog

I've watched a bit, it seems like something I should watch more of. I have a lot of TV to catch up on rather than re-watching old Doctor Who over and over.

That said I'm really enjoying the latest 4th Doctor box set (they've been releasing "season" sets, so far there is the first and last season - who knows why) the commentary is very entertaining. There are commentary tracks from both the original DVD release and from last year. I have to say that Lalla Ward is pretty hilarious, she also remembers everything from the show, from co-stars to crew. There's a lot of talk about how grouchy Tom Baker was during the final season as well, it's fun to listen to the stories behind the stories so to speak

Some more goodies eh... well if you like The Last Air Bender series, then check out The Dragon Prince

If you like a slightly dark humour show, off the cuff, ground hog day, and a bit of WTF, check out Russian Doll

I keep telling people to check out Lucifer especially seeing as the show has been renewed for Season 4 by Netflix: https://www.radiotimes.com/news/on-demand/2019-03-28/lucifer-season-4-netflix-release-date-cancelled-show-saved/

And if you want a really dark but funny DC TV show, watch Doom Patrol, especially if you like Brendan Fraser or Alan Tudyk as actors.

I've also see Happy! is back on, and that too is some dark comedy, which I believe Lazy watches as well.

A joint US/UK Production TV show that ran 2010-2013, then ended, then restarted in 2015 with a new crew, but the same world and same "division" re-initiated; but only if you like Special Unit TV Shows like Seal Team or The Brave, is Strike Back.  This one is a bit of a surprise as the initial two actors were so good, and yet the 4 new actors continuing the legacy bring almost as good to the screen.

I have others I can recommend, but I'm not 100% sure what you guys might be interested more in.

Going to agree Lucifer is good although I am not watching it directly / consistently.

Thorin

I'm all caught up on Strike Back, it's highly unrealistic and super-macho rah-rah and yet I agree that the originals and the new crew make for enjoyable TV. The Unit is still better, I think.

I'll check on the others, see if they're my kind of show. I'm not always into dark humour...
