Expect the 750GB model they tested to hit the streets for about $590, or $0.79/GB, which isn't really that bad.

Wow, if PC world has reveiw samples these things are really close to market.

Also it is a good idea to have Defrag set on a regular schedule. It takes WAY too long to run once you have really fragmented the drive.

XP does drive optimization by default when not in use.  (or so i have been told)

It sucks.

I have my server running all the time and its not very optimized.

I just made a crontab / at command to run every 6 hours

I usually have O&O defrag to run on boot and when idle. keeps it fairly clean.

O&O would constantly when not being used comsume 200+MB of memory for no other reason then it could.  I couldnt figure out why.

That reminds me, I should try out the O&O for linux again, if they have a new beta. it didnt like my last setup, but I doubt it'll like my new one any better.
