...make a VIDEO GAME out of it! (sorta the Ewe Boll effect in reverse)

Reservoir Dogs doesn't need a video game adaptation!

Especially one so disturbingly violent -- and not in a fun, stylish way like the movie:

Michael Madsen did his character's voice -- Mr. Madsen, sir, you should be ashamed for participating in this pointless attempt to cash in -- gratuitous violence is one thing, but killing innocents and hostages again and again isn't exactly my idea of "fun". And I would hope that is true for most people...

This type of game has been done over and over again. Some fun facts about this game

#1 I got bored with the game just watching the preview.

#2 Mr. Blonde does not have the power of bullet time when he puts on his glasses.

#3 Waiting for the cop to open the door was the glitchiest mess I've ever seen.

#4 They should call this game Taking Hostages.

#5 Mr. Blonde would not cut a hostage's ear off just becuase he did it once in the movie. The cop would have shot Mr. Blonde in the head in real life, in the trailor he puts his gun down and gives up.

#6 Mr. Blonde would not take 2 cigarette breaks while getting to his car.
:D

This has been common knowledge since E.T. crapped it's way onto Atari.

IMHO, the only good movie to game conversion was Goldeneye.

I would have to say most of the Aliens games where good.

Shall we bring up the Chronicles of Riddick?  http://www.gamerankings.com/htmlpages2/921671.asp?q=riddick Battle for Middle Earth? http://www.gamerankings.com/htmlpages2/918989.asp?q=battle%20for%20middle%20earth While rare a few are done well.  Even the godfather game garnered the average 70% rating area.  What movie games really are is a 100% total lack of original thinking and a way to make a quick buck.  Originality is few and far between it would seem.  Im in love with Dead Rising but its truely just a ripoff of ***** of the Dead

Lets not forget the out of control StarWars fanchise, although there are a few winners in there, its often far in between.
I only drink the blood of my enemies, and on occasion a strawberry smoothie.

Ya, and the good ones are based 1000 years before the movies like KotOR :)  or produced 10 years ago Xwing v TIE Fighter

To be clear: I meant "the Ewe Boll effect in reverse" to only apply to the Dogs adaptation. ::)

I also heard Riddick rocked, and a few of those others are apparently worth a few weekends' worth of game time to explore their uniqueness and fun...

Well, it's tough to find a Good Move that also has a Good Game translation.

Riddick was an ass movie (both sober AND otherwise), it made Battle Beyond the Stars look like it had a plot. Great game though.

Battle for Middle Earth visually at least, is based on the film but I think the ~50 years worth of background material defined the units abilities and strategies far before Peter Jackson put pen to screenplay.

I agree 100% with the Star Wars comment though, Star Trek also has a couple great games though they are more scarce than even Star Wars.

I think the problem with most movie licenses is that it's too easy to cop out and make a crap game you know will sell a few copies just because of the film connection (well, if it was a good movie that is!). ET certainly proved this as early sales were brisk, it didn't last of course when people put that game in their console and tried to play it. Actually let me say that most licensed games fall into this category, I mean, how many superhero games sucked ass?  And most of those should have been easy to make a game out of!

Oh well, I guess I'm just jaded...
