The Woodsmen

[Mr. Analog]

I like weird Canadian stuff, and The Woodsmen are about as weird as they come! These animated shorts created by Bart Batchelor run on the Comedy Network's Canadian Comedy Shorts (usually aired Sunday nights). It tells the story of two hermits named Walt and Claude who live out their deranged lives in the backwoods of Canada. The stories and events are strange, the jokes are dumb yet clever. Basically if you can imagine South Park combined with Aqua Teen Hunger Force you'll understand what I mean. So, here are the episodes!

The Woodsmen (original short)
Plot: Claude finds sparkly shoes, Walt is jealous of the dazzling new footwear and the Woodsmen decide to go find more shoes, so they quest for a magic bat in a cave.

Car Alarm
Plot: Walt and Claude are annoyed by the sounds of nature and decide to do something about it.

David Suzuki
Plot: David Suzuki decides to visit the forest and make a documentary about the Woodsmen (something he will deeply regret).

Potato Cult
Plot: Walt and Claude unexpectedly unearth the mysterious Potato Cult.

The Hole
Plot: Walt finds himself trapped in a hole where he becomes bored. Trying to help his friend, Claude soon becomes trapped as well. The duo try to figure their way out.

Claude is Dead
Plot: Walt copes with the loss of his friend by making new friends, with mixed results.
