Not sure how many of you have read the Dragonlanc enovels but there is an animated movie coming out based on The Dragons of Autumn Twilight which is the first book in the Dragonlance Chronicles series.  I know I am psyched about it!!
Coming from someone who never used to like fantasy this is pretty awesome fantastic if you ask me, a friend of mine got me hooked!!

Thorin

I've only read about seven of the novels, unfortunately not in order.  They were epic in nature, though, and painted vivid pictures of the world.  I'll *probably* end up seeing this in the theaters, perhaps with my kids if the rating is low enough.  One of the problems, though, will be the lack of backstory.  In the books, there was a *lot* of backstory explained, since they had 1,000+ pages per trilogy (and how many trilogies?).

So, as a Dragonlance fan, did you ever play through any of the D&D modules?
Prayin' for a 20!

Nope I just started reading them recently.  My ex tried to get me to read one fantasy a few years ago but I couldn't egt into it hten my friend recommended the drangolnce Chronicles and I fell in love with the series.  However I played a bit of Rifts when I was younger!!

Lazybones

Sounds cool. Fantasy seems to be gaining ground on SciFi these days in terms of popularity.

Ustauk

I've read most of the core books in the series and really enjoyed them.  I'm looking forward to this movie :)
