So my Neighbour decides to leave for the weekend with the Wife.  They leave their nice Mazda, with Leather Interior, loaded to the hilt car in the parking lot without closing the moon roof!!!!  :o :o

So being the redneck and nice neighbour I am, I totally rigged up a poor man's sun roof for them while they are away.  Then with the Wind picking up today, I had to remodel.

Here is the result:

Well there isn't any ductape, so I'm not sure you can call me either.

Thorin

So, did they appreciate your effort?
Prayin' for a 20!

gcc thorin.c -pedantic -o Thorin
compile successful

Melbosa

They aren't back yet, so don't know.

It's a good thing you put that up, they would have had fish in there today...

We got rained on pretty good for once.

As long as your solution doesn't colour bleed or scratch the car I am sure they will be happy.

A tarp, bungee cords and a stick in the middle might be less comical.

Melbosa

Aye, a Tarp would have been better, but I don't own one.

And I hope I didn't scratch their paint, but if I did, it will be a minor buff out.  Compared to water damage on electronics and leather interior, I would hope they would be happy with the result, even if there was scratches.

If not, that is a sign of the times, where people are more concerned with minor details than the thought and forethought of what could have happened.

"for once"?? my flood-damaged carpet and crappy-particle-board furniture in the basement begs to differ ;)

So my neighbour returned on Tuesday.  Took pictures of her own as she found it quite comical, but also thanked me for the work.
