I have the 60s series on DVD, if you don't have this already you need to get it, those stories are great as well.

That's what it's all about!

That's imo why ST:TOS is still re-watchable, even though the [costumes/hair/musicsometimes/overthetopactingoften] = cringe-worthy today.

I actually think the minimal sets help it more than anything. I watch TNG or Voyager and it looks much more dated than TOS... (to me anyway)

One thing I find interesting about the original Outer Limits is their special effects, as crappy as they might seem today in context of the times they kick the ass of a lot of films that had been out just prior to the series. (I've seen a LOT of B-movies recently).

Some of the stuff is just downright creepy or interesting BECAUSE of the limited sets. The series was also blessed with some truly great acting & direction, which helped make everything believable.

And of course, again, the stories. They just suck you in.

I don't know I find the touch screen tech in TNG+ to be more in line with actual tech, hell they regularly use pads (iPads) in TNG!

Kirk had a pad WITH  a stylus LOL

One thing they shared in common: explosive circuits and NO grounding hahaha

C'MON you know you can do better than that. I mean EVERYONE knows you just have to send a reverse tachyon pulse through the main deflector dish

Just like I saw you making that joke with my O.B.I.T. set.

Remember Kirk can solve any problem by sleeping with it or hitting it with the old double fist.

Damn straight, when confronted with hostile aliens there are only the two options.

Also, Kirk hates computers, if you are a computer and you control stuff he WILL destroy you.
