And I was going to fix that, but kept procrastinating on it...

I know so many people whom treat their vehicles this way and then bitch (not saying you are one of them btw) about how put out they are when their vehicle breaks down and what a piece of crap it is.  Especially around this time of year.

My vehicle is maintained regularly, and always warm the moment I enter it ... I gotta share it with a few hundred other folks but imo that's a small price to pay ;)

Funny, sometimes your chauffeur is not always there when you would like and sometimes he doesn't even go where you want him to!

I keep telling the LRT driver to turn right and go up 129 Ave NW but he never does.

THE NERVE!

WOW check out the "weather warnings" page for Canadeh.

pretty much the entire NATION has a "-35ish" cold-weather warning!

October, 99st northbound  idiot lady in a van in the lane directly to my right decided to try pulling a U-turn (train was about to come, she musta been in a hurry) and somehow she forgot to... ummm... LOOK TO HER LEFT. Scrape goes the paint, wheel well and right turn signal damaged enough that I dropped it off at body shop and got a rental for a week.

Cost of repairs too much esp. considering age and >200,000km so RBC called it a writeoff, sent me a cheque for about 1k which is probably the most I coulda got if I tried to sell it with the other issues (shocks especially) so it all worked out fine. LRT/bus since then, but with the weather this month I'm okay with that. :)

Was that a lot less than you initially paid for it?  Insurance companies always try to offer the lowest value they think you'll agree to on first offer, but occasionally they can be convinced the car is worth more.

1998 Mazda Protege with about 250,000 km (original engine) that I got in May of 2008. Paid 4k for it, and during the summer I was checking online sources of buying/selling used cars and I would be lucky to get more than 1k for it apparently.

It was almost like a $73/month lease, pretty happy with it and will certainly consider Mazda/Toyota for the next vehicle, those Japanese engines last forEVER!

As crazy as this sounds, trying to get the Suburban started this morning in "only" windchill -31 seemed like it wasn't that bad out.  And I was out there for 40 minutes, so...  It's warmer than it was, yay!

At least on the Celsius scale I find the difference of 5 degrees in any direction significant good or bad.
