Reminds me a bit of dos shell...

Funny from a retro point of view but not all that useful.

Gah!

Not sure I'd give up the ability to have _two_ windows open, or two select _two or more_ files at once to copy / paste / etc...

back in the days @ NAIT, one genius guru guy who was insanely fast at Alt-keyboard shortcuts (Kieron I think his name was) I can imagine him zooming around an all-text modern Windoze environment at Ludicruous Speed for sure :)
