Man, I can totally dig the fourth verse he adds on (the original only had three verses).

And I'm wishing now that I had access to some of the recordings of him as part of the smalls, I really do wonder what he'd sound like as a punk rocker.

I listen to the radio quite a bit and I never caught that version before.

Used to hear it on K-Rock, The Bear, Power 92 when it was then, etc.

Well, I guess they weren't playing it in the mornings because I used to listen to KROCK/Bear/Sonic in the mornings and CBC Radio 2 and CKUA in the evenings...
