Just can't believe how it just disappears like that.  Have a better understanding of what the impact of 9-11 must have been.

Not really same, skyscaper walls are not built that way, they are much thinner and full of glass windows.

While I agree, the sheer force impact is what I was getting at.  It just amazes me at what speed and force would have hit those towers.  I am sure it was nothing as obliterating as the video here, but still it gives me a base line to better visualize the tremendous impact that was.

But thanks for pointing out the differences in impact.  If only all our buildings were build like an Atomic Power Planet, at least in terms of structural strength, and not with all the atomicness :P

Most tall towers are designed for plain impacts... however only small ones. Also one of the factors of the aircraft breaking up is the fact that they are made of  lite weight materials so they can fly in the first place... It is hard to think of a 747 as being lite however for its size it is made of the thinnest and  most lite weight materials possible.
